Little did I know that when I admired my blogger friend Lia's leash in a Facebook picture that she had made it herself and was starting her own business, Dressed to the K9s. I was beyond thrilled when she offered to make one for Boca and one for a lucky reader! Not only does Lia craft gorgeous custom macrame leashes, but she also hand beads stunning collars that are seriously works of art. I've been a fan of her blog Identity V + E for a while now, in awe of her dedication to her beautiful Elli and her challenging new Malinois, Riko, and am so happy to support the grand opening of her business.
Dressed to the K9s' leashes are unique in that they are woven by hand and fully customizable. You can choose up to four colors of cord and add a bag-carrier loop. I got to see some pictures of the progress on Boca's leash on the Dressed to the K9s Facebook page, and was so tickled by the name she gave it: Bahamian Rhapsody! I was still unprepared for how beautiful it would be in person, and I literally squealed and jumped around like a little kid when I opened the package. The colors were so bright and reminded me of a seaside carnival.
One lucky blog reader will win a Dressed to the K9s leash of their own, in the lovely Sandalwood color scheme. Even though I chose the tropically technicolor leash for Boca, I'm just a little jealous of whoever wins the other one, too. Entrants must be U.S. residents and reply to the winner notification email within 72 hours to claim their prize:
Disclaimer: Dressed to the K9s provided the giveaway leash and one for review in exchange for my honest feedback. All opinions expressed are my own and I only publish reviews for products I feel comfortable using in the day to day life of my pets.
That leash is stunning! I love all the colors Lia used! We actually found a new favorite walking spot this past week! A quiet little park about a mile from our place! I can easily walk there and it overlooks Mt. Hood! :D
ReplyDeleteThat's a work of art! Far nicer than the plain black ones we use currently!
ReplyDeleteNellie and I both love to walk at Green lake. It's a nice 3 mile loop w/a paved and unpaved trail. Lots to smell and a pretty view. Plus there's easy parking which is unheard of in this city!
ReplyDeleteI love those colors on her! Our favorite spot to walk is the little beach town about 45 minutes from the house. :)
ReplyDeleteLove those colors! Lately, our favorite walk has been a big loop where we walk down to some off leash trails near the river, along the river for a while, then back home again from the park at the other end. It takes about an hour to an hour and a half, depending on which trail we take at the park and how fast we walk.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite place to walk my pup is down our road. We live on a canopy road that is just really peaceful and pretty. I love taking my pup with me when I go walking.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite place to walk my dogs is out in the forest, preferably by a nice big creek or river . They love to be out in nature, and so do I.
ReplyDeleteI'm blessed to own some beautiful property, so my favorite place is my "backyard."
ReplyDeleteThose leashes are gorgeous!
we love going for walks on the shore where we live!
ReplyDeleteThose leashes are both just gorgeous! And I love the picture showing off Boca's new collar!
ReplyDeleteOur favorite place to walk this summer has been the greenbelt trail that consistently has water deep and clean enough for Nala to swim in! We're lucky to live near lots of great trails, though, even though we're in a fairly big city.
WOW that leash is gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteI love walking my dogs in the forest with the smell of pines....
i have over 11 acres, so we walk around the fields, and run. not a dog park person.
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness that is gorgeous!! We walk around our block (about a mile) and it's super relaxing, but I think my favorite is when we go on hikes!

My favorite place to walk Wynston and Khloee is the local Riparian Preserve. It's full of creeks, wild animals and gorgeous landscape! Honestly though, I love walking in my neighborhood, especially during Halloween and Christmas. I enjoy looking at the decorations!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite place to walk my dog is at national parks! We recently walked/hiked at the largest waterfall in our state (Amicalola Falls), and that was a lot of fun. We enjoy going to the lake and hiking on woodland trails. (I entered under Amie De with a Facebook account)
ReplyDeleteMy dog like going around the neighborhood.
ReplyDeleteI love going on hikes with my dogs!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful leash. My two furkids love to go for walks in the fields near us, where they can run & splash in the creek until they are so tired they fall asleep on the ride home!
ReplyDeleteI love to walk Sully at the barn (of course!)
ReplyDeleteWe like to go to 1000 dog park. It is a 1000 acres of off leash trails and rivers. My dogs love it as it is not a traditional fenced park. It is unfenced, and has trails for horses.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful leash!
